James Charles, Escape Makeup Tutorial!

James Charles x Morphe; Unleash Your Inner Artist Palette
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today i'm posting my very first look using the new James Charles Palette! I had to wait till the second Morphe relaunch to actually buy it. It kept selling out everywhere! I was on my phone in the middle of the car dealership, debit card in hand, just waiting! We got one boi's! I ordered it on Thursday, December 6th, I received it on Sunday, December 9th. For whatever reason, this time a year if you have packages, the local post office will drop them off even on Sunday's and national holiday's. One thing i'm kind of sad about is that when it came, I had no clue what it was... The Morphe box was inside out. How does this happen? Other than that I love this palette so far. I've only used it for one look and everything went so smoothly!

James Charles x Morphe; Unleash Your Inner Artist PaletteStarting out this makeup look I primed my eyes using the Wet n Wild Photofocus primer, This is the first time i'm using it and really like it. It's super smooth. My eyes have stayed pigmented and creaseless for hours. On a packed blending brush, I picked up Escape and packed on my outer corner and into my crease. I only had to pick up the shade twice to get full pigmentation! It looked really messy, but it's all part of the process. Wiping off the brush and picking up a mix of Skip & Pinkity Drinkity, I used them to help blend out the edges and add some warmth to the cooler dark purple. I picked up more Pinkity Drinkity to blend up to the brow bone and soften up everything further. Cutting the crease I took a flat synthetic and my Makeup Revolution concealer in C3 and painted on a thin later making sure to get as straight of a line as I could. Onto the concealer I used a angled eyeshadow brush and packed on Artistry. This by far is one of my favorite colors! It's a soft lavender with a pink to blue shift. It's everything I've ever wanted in a shimmery eyeshadow! I almost forgot to add that I put Spooky on the outer 2/3 of my bottom lash line, on the inner third I used Artistry again, and on the inner corner I used Ring Light.

Burnt Orange & Pink Glam

Burnt Orange & Pink Glam
Burnt Orange & Pink Glam

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I have for you a warm, smokey simple look. It looks like it's a lot more complicated than it actually is. Don't we all love a simple glam look that looks hard to do than it really is? I know my wings aren't as sharp as a good wing should be. My eyeliner pen is drying out so I had a lot of struggles getting the wing on at all. This look didn't quite look right without a wing, so I had to force the liner pen to work. I messed up the wings and had to fuss with them for a good twenty minutes, lol. Alright, now lets just get into the tutorial before I ramble anymore!

Starting out this makeup look I primed my eyelids with my foundation this time. Last time I used a thin layer of concealer and it worked well. I just felt like being lazy, while also preserving my concealer. Ya girl is broke and has to save money where I can. Starting with shade 1, a soft peach shade, I buffed it all the way from my outer corner almost to the inner corner. I also brought it pretty high up to counteract my hooded lid situation. Next up I took shade 2, a rusty medium brown and brought it through the crease again, a little lower and not as far in. I don't was to close off the eyes and make them look smaller than they already are. Do you see the pattern yet? Each shade I use I keep it a little lower and bring it in a little less to the inner corner. Which is exactly what I did with shade 3, a darker burnt orangey brown. On my lid I used shade 4, a light metallic pink, and I used my finger to press the shade onto my lid for maximum pigment. It turns out super soft and glowey looking. Which is why I brought it into the inner corner and inner third of the lower lash line. The outer two thirds of the bottom lash line is shade 2, the warm medium orangey brown. On my brow bone is my face highlight shade.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out this makeup tutorial. I love all of the warm burnt orange tones this time of year and I can't stop using them!! If you enjoyed this look, let me know in the comments down below and don't forget to follow me on instagram to see more of my life and some looks I don't always blog about. I have some that are basic boring looks and i'll share them over there!

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial
Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial

Hello Everyone and Welcome back to my blog! I've been having so much fun playing with colorful eyeshadows and making myself get out of my comfort zone! I love the colors Pink, Purple and mint, but I didn't have a mint so I used a baby blue. This look reminded me of cotton candy so that's where the name of the tutorial comes from. I couldn't think of anything else to title this tutorial so that's what we have. I can only be creative for so long and for so many things, titling things isn't one of them as it seems, lol. Today I used the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette that I've had almost a year I think. I've seen pictures of the Morphe x James Charles palette and i'm just craving colorful makeup! I hope i'm able to purchase the palette. But blogging doesn't really make any money for me so I'm extremely lucky to buy anything I can!

Cotton Candy Fantasy Tutorial
Starting out this makeup look, I took my concealer and my beauty sponge and patted it on my lids in a thin layer. I used just enough to hide my veins and discoloration, but I didn't add so much that it was heavy and creasy. I did not set the concealer, I wanted to keep the base tacky to insure the eyeshadows were vibrant and didn't ware away. Picking up color 1, a bright fuchsia / darker hot pink I packed it on the outer corner of the lid making sure to start creating a sharp line. I slowly added more color, lightly blending into the crease and bringing it up pretty high. I then picked up color 2, a darker purple, and patted it on the outer edge blending it into the pink for a soft transition. I also took in onto the outer 2/3 of my bottom lash line. Picking up shade 3, a bubble gum pink, I took it on a blending brush and started buffing out any edges and bringing it close to the head of my brow. I also put it on my blower lash line, fading it from the purple to the inner corner. For the final actual lid shade I picked up shade 4, a light blue with the slightest green tint on a wet brush and patted it onto the lid from inner corner about half way. While I was packing the blue on, I  made sure to softly tap out any edges so it didn't look harsh and sloppy! Shade 5 is basically a sheer highlight shade that has a pinkish gold shift, I used this on a wet brush and  put it in the inner corner and under the arch of my brow bone! This is also what I used to highlight the rest of my face with, on top of another highlight shade!

Here you guys have a close up shot of the eyes with my eyes open and shut so you can see the look in all of its glory! Autumnal Vibes Makeup Tutorial

Autumnal Vibes Makeup Tutorial
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This past month has been so beautiful, so cool outside. It's been perfect. Although I have been sick off and on a bunch. Recently when I was outside with my dog Chloe I was suddenly really inspired by the trees in my yard to do this look. It ended up super vibrant and beautiful. This is my favorite time of  the year and I can't wait to do so many more autumnal looks. Warm tone smokey is my go-to look all Autumn long! This look kind of ended up really basic looking but it took so long to blend. I have having issues with the base I used and had to redo everything. I then switched the base I used and had so much of an easier time blending! Note to self (and all of you) don't use a heavy concealer as a base! It caused a lot if skipping and patchy-ness. Alright, let's get started boi's!

Starting out this makeup look, I messed up and had to restart. I tried using the Makeup Revolution concealer as a base, but it was either too heavy or i used too much. I ended up using my foundation as a base and things went a lot smoother! This tutorial was done using two palettes, but basically all you need is a shade to set the lid, a few warm and cool brown shades for the crease and a matte or shimmery orange for the lid. To set the lid I went in with shade 1 to create a soft base to blend everything into. Next I  picked up shade 2 which is darker, but still bright yellow and buffed it into the crease. In the picture, shades 3, 4 & 5 look like they are all the same color, but they're actually one gradually darker than the next. Shade 5 is actually a pretty deep brown shade. I took all three of them and buffed them in one at a time, building the intensity. On the lid I mixed shades 6 & 8, 6 wasn't a deep enough orange and 8 was too rusty brown almost. So I mixed and buffed those two together on the lid, blending back into the crease and outer corner area. For shade 7, a really pigmented black, I took the smallest amount and buffed it into the outer corner to bring more depth. You could totally do this look using a lot less colors, But I don't have a very big collection of makeup, so I don't always have the shades I need. I ended up highlighting the arch of the brow bone and inner corner with the highlight I used on my cheeks, it's another makeup revolution palette and its so blinding! Under my lash line I mixed the oranges and the darker brown and black!

Thank you all so much for checking out this post. Please remember to comment and share my posts, it helps me so much! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and if you did, let me know! I have another tutorial coming on Friday, I really love the look i'm posting today, but Friday's is sparkly and I love glitter!

Hopefully in these closer up images you can see what I was going for with using all of the colors I had pulled into the look. I wanted a lot of depth and dimension through the crease. There are so many beautiful yellow, orange and red trees outside right now and although I absolutely love it, my sinuses and body hate it. I'm going to try and grind and get some new tutorials going. I can't wait for some fun looks I have planned for the rest of the autumn season and all of winter!

Makeup Revolution; Fierce as Fire Palette Review and Tutorial

Makeup Revolution; Fierce as Fire PaletteHello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I recently made an Ulta purchase, and with said purchase if I spent $15 on Makeup Revolution products, I received their Fierce as Fire eyeshadow and highlight palette Free. I felt like this was a great opportunity to not only get a new palette, but it could make for some good content. I know they had a little bit of a bad reputation when they first came out because they were coming out with a lot of obvious dupes... I do have to say that they've made an honest name for themselves over the last year, not only that but I've liked everything by them. The quality of their products just seem to be too good for the price, but their stuff keeps getting better and better.

Makeup Revolution; Fierce as Fire Palette

The Review: The packaging is all plastic like their palettes normally are, and there isn't a mirror. The package is sturdy, pretty lettering and trim to match. There are 8 eye shadows and 4 highlight shades. The eye shadows have 4 shimmers and 4 matte shades. Two of the matte shades have a fine shimmer in them, but it doesn't show up on the eyes. The 4 shimmer shades are all very silky quality and shimmery. As for pigment of the shadows, everyone of them is so pigmented and smooth! The blendability is very smooth, I tested them over unset foundation to really test if they would be patchy. The shades went on buttery and pigmented, the shimmer shades are super shimmery and pigmented as well. As for the highlight shades, holy cow I was blown away with the pigmentation and creamy texture of them. They're all really shiny ad blinding as well. I was only able to test out the three shades on my cheekbones, the fourth one is too dark. It is very beautiful on the eyes though. The highlight shades are beautiful mixed as well! The palette is overall a 9/10, it would be a 10/10 if there were a mirror!

Makeup Revolution; Fierce as Fire PaletteThe Tutorial: Starting out this makeup look I primed my eyelids with my foundation and left it tacky to test the quality of the eye shadows. Starting out I went in with the light pinky tone and the cooler tan matte shades on a natural fiber brush and brought them through the crease and bringing the color all the way into the inner portion and above the crease. I have hooded eyes so I always bring my shadows higher than people usually do. Next to build up the outer crease area, I picked up the more red brick shade on a fluffy blending brush and went in lightly. It was super pigmented so I didn't have to add too much more than the initial dip in. I did make sure to bring that color into the inner corner as well, but very lightly just to add warmth. On the lid with a flat shader brush and some Mario Badescu rose water spray I dipped into the peachy pink shimmer shade and put it all over the inner two thirds of the lid. This color is beautiful! It's a duo chrome eyeshadow, it goes from pink to golden yellow. I used the same wet brush and picked up the darkest highlight shade and put it on the mid section of the lid gently patting out the edges. This look was finished with the lightest highlight on the brow bone and a thin line of black pen liner on the lash line.

I hope you enjoyed today's makeup tutorial. I absolutely loved this palette and can't wait to see what I create next! Makeup Revolution is slowly but surely becoming my favorite makeup brand! I just got their  Luxury Baking Powder in Lace and their new concealer in c3, light for neutral undertones. I've tried them roughly three times so far and I've gotta say I love their stuff more and more with each new product I get my hands on. I can't wait to try more! I'm almost at 100k views and it's all thanks to you guys and your support!

Purple and Silver smokey eye on Blue eyes

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today's tutorial is this beautiful purple and silver smokey eye. This tutorial is on my youngest step daughter Trinity. We chose this color scheme to compliment her blue / hazel eyes. I think we succeed with making her eye color pop! We used Pinterest to look at some color charts and see what colors make blue eyes pop! This can be helpful if you're wondering what colors best compliment your eyes. Being an avid makeup obsessed freak, I know what colors to wear on my eyes to make them pop. I don't always follow those rules, because its makeup and you don't have to stick to just a few colors. Let's get started on with the tutorial.

Starting out today's makeup look, we went in with foundation on her lids. I mix two shades to get my custom shade, luckily we have the same skin tone! I have all products down below, but just used a primer, concealer or foundation. Use whatever suites your style and needs. Starting in the crease I took the contour shade in my Elf contour kit and buffed it in through the crease from outer to inner corner. I wanted to build depth before going in with the purples. On a fluffy blending brush I went in with shade 1, a cool darker purple and built up color until it was as dark as I wanted it to be. Adjust to your liking as with anything I mentioned. To deepen the crease, I took the shades I marked as 2, tapping into them and building up the outer corner. Shade 1 just wasn't a dark enough purple so I used a dark blue and light purple to make a custom shade for the outer corner. On the lid I went in this really cheap Wish palette, and took the silver on a flat shader brush with some setting spray. I packed on the silver and then set it with the same silver shadow. On the bottom lash line I went in with the purples and just built them up the saw I did in the crease. Adding something to the bottom lash line really helps pop your eye color even more!

That's all this eye look takes! Super beautiful and pretty simple to achieve! I just wanted to thank you for coming by and checking out my blog, I've had a set back in life and haven't been posting recently. What are you going to do when you have depression, anxiety and keep getting sick? It's been pretty annoying, I'm on antibiotics for the second time in a months period. I've missed doing my makeup, I've missed blogging and sharing my tips with y'all. Just been a real one, lol. I've also been watching a lot of James Charles, talk about sister snatched. He's always killing it, I aspire to be on his level one day lol. Also, I'm almost to 100k views and I'm panicking! Love you all so much for everything you do for me. Keep sharing and reading, it's helping me more than you know.

I'm baccck!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I have been gone from blogging for about a month due to life getting busy and being crazy. I have missed playing in makeup and up with new looks so much! I've done my makeup like three times this whole month off and I'm ready to get back into things! I think a lot of this break had so do with me getting pretty sick and not know what's going on. We're pretty sure now that it's a stomach issue caused by stress. As soon as I start feeling better, I get sick thanks to my daughter being back in school. What a wild almost two months it's been. But I'm starting to feel better and ready to come back!

During this time away from blogging, I've focused on my family, pets and life. I screwed around on Snapchat and played with filters. I babysat my beautiful niece and nephew for a few days and had lots of cuddles and fun. We watched a lot of My Little Pony... Lol. My youngest started 6th grade, had a family get-together and saw my step daughter Kate whose like a best friend to me. I also saved a couple of my favorite memes of the month. I'll be coming back with tutorials this coming week!

Also I wanted to say a quick little thank you for 90k views! That is so amazing and I can't wait for more milestones to be crossed out!!! I love makeup, I love the art of it and it's genuinely such a joy that you guys enjoy my content. One thing I'd like to ask, is if you can follow me on Instagram so I can interact and gauge what you would like to see from me on here! It's @LulusLifeBeauty ❤️

Thank you for stopping in and check out this update. I'll attach some pictures below of what I've been up to the last few weeks. Maybe some pet pics as well. I love animals as well! Of course as usual, all of my social media links are below for ease of access for you guys to find me else where!

Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial

Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today what I have for you is this beautiful warm orange, yellow, and red half cut crease with a blue and purple lash line. I wanted to do a contrasting color scheme on the lower lash line for a pop of some different colors and creativity. To achieve this look I used my BH Cosmetics "Take Me Back To Brazil" palette. This palette is mostly mattes and has some shimmery shades in it. At this point I think I have used off of the shadows in this palette and they're all pigmented and blendable. For today's look in particular I used all matte shades, except for when I cut the crease, did the brow bone and the bottom lash line shades did have some shimmer to it. The blue and purple don't have much of a sheen on the eye, but there are a few specks of sparkle.

Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial
Fiery Half Cut Crease Tutorial
Getting started with this tutorial, I did all of my face makeup first and then did the eyes, which is not what I normally do. I'm not the type to bake my under eye really, But I do leave some extra setting powder under my eyes in case of any fallout. Starting out with some eyeshadow primer and setting it with my setting powder. I then went in the bright Yellow shade with a fluffy natural fiber blending brush and blended the yellow through the crease, all the way to the inner corner and almost to the brow bone leaving space for a highlight. With the same brush I took the bright Orange and started buffing it into the Yellow in a circular motion bring it mostly into the inner corner, but not too far. I wanted to keep my eyes more open looking and didn't want to put too much color there. With the same brush again, I took the red and patted and blended it a little, just in the outer third corner of the eye, bringing it down slightly so I could connect the lower lash line shadows into the red. Using my foundation and a flat cream shadow brush, I cut the inner half of my lid and backed on the highlight shade, blending it slight back to get rid of harsh lines. On a flat tapered eyeshadow brush I went in with the Blue and ran it in the outer third of my bottom lash line. Picking up the Purple I blended it from the Blue to the inner third of the eye. Using the highlight shade that has the pink reflect, I ran it on the inner third of the bottom lash line, on the inner corner and brow bone. Finishing up the eye look, I lined my upper waterline with black to make my lashes look thicker, and I put white on the bottom waterline to open the look of my eyes. I then added my favorite mascara!

Plum Smokey Eye using Fifty Cent Eyeshadows!

Plum Smokey Eye using Fifty Cent Eyeshadows!Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! A while back when I was walking around our local Dollar General I discovered L.A. Colors had fifty cent single shadows! There weren't a lot to pick from, so I chose four shades I knew I'd get the most use out of. I chose a matte dusty mauve, a matte deep purple, a shimmery mauve color mixed with a warm brown tone, and the last one is a shimmery nude color. I'm not sure how many they actually had in store, most of the stuff was already picked over and some had been broken and thrown back on the display. They also had some mini glosses and fat liner / shadow pencils. I didn't use those today but they were decent for being so cheap. Right now I can tell you the shadows were pigmented, soft and blendable. The metallic shades were pretty decent just alone, but I did wet the lid shade for that metallic pop of color. Now lets get into the tutorial briefly!

Plum Smokey Eye using Fifty Cent Eyeshadows!
Today's tutorial is accompanied by a YouTube video again like I did a few weeks ago. I'm really liking filming and hope you're enjoying the videos as well. Starting out today's look I did all of my face makeup first and then moved onto the eyes. I primed with foundation and primer, I don't know why. I just felt like it lol, I set the lids with my setting powder for a crease free, blendable surface. This look ended up being super simple to do. I went in with the light mauve shade through the crease, placing down a munch of color to blend the dark purple into. I kept the darker purple in the outer third of my eyelid and brought it in a little further, just in the crease for depth. On the lid I took the metallic purple-ish brown and packed it all on the inner two thirds of the lid. I then decided to wet it to get more of the metallic finish! I took the shimmery nude color all in the inner corner and on my brow bone. The bottom last line is the two matte shades ombre'd out for a smooth transition, along with the shimmery nude on the lower inner corner / bottom lash line area.

I hope you loved today's tutorial and video as much as I do, it was a super easy and fun look to do. I would recommend picking up some of these shadows if you happen to come across them! Let me know if there is anything you want to see my try and test out on my channel and I'll try to make that happen! Popfeel | Wish eyeshadow palette review and tutorial

Popfeel | Wish eyeshadow palette
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I have a combo review and tutorial for you using an eyeshadow palette from the Wish app! More specifically it’s by the brand Popfeel, which I’m not sure if it’s just on Wish or an actual brand. I know it’s one of the more popular brands for makeup on Wish and they don’t seem to be “copying” or “duping” any name brands. That’s always nice to see with a more inexpensive brand, they’re doing their own thing and not seeming to copy anyone else. At first I realized they actually sent me the wrong palette. What arrived was so tiny I couldn’t believe it. The pan sizes are very little as you’d expect. I have photos of me holding it to show how small it is, keep in mine I have child size hands lol. There is no weight listed on the packaging or the unicarton, but the unicarton has a list of ingredients. Are these real ingredients? I have no clue, but there doesn’t seem to be a ton of ingredients or harsh chemicals.

Here you see the size of the package & the ingredients.

Swatching these shadows went well, and they seem to all have decent pigmentation which is shocking to me. The photo of them swatched on my hand, that was done with a flat shader brush and not with my fingers. Finger swatching eyeshadows can make them look more pigmented than they’ll actually be. So when doing these reviews I like to use a brush to show the real pigmentation of the products. I get very picky about it because I’ve seen people swatch an eyeshadow, then I’ve gotten the eyeshadow and been disappointed that there wasn’t any real pigmentation. I don’t want this post being super long, but I want it to be as formative as possible. Every shade in the palette is a shimmery shade. You can't do a complete eye look without substituting some crease shades. But I was able to make it all work out.

Popfeel | Wish eyeshadow palette
Starting out this makeup tutorial, I primed and set my eyelids with my foundation and setting powder. Going in with shade 1 I applied it all over the lower lid from inner to outer corner. I did have to end up wetting it to get it to have a vibrant punch. It had decent opacity alone, but i could see a little bit of patchiness. For the crease and outer third of the lid, I then went in with shade 2, softening the edges of the orange shadow. Shade 3 I took on my finger and patted out some of the line between the two lid shades to add a softer feel. Shade 4 I used to really help deepen up the outer corner for some more depth. I also took shade 4 and ran it under the outer two thirds of my lower lash line. Bringing in shade 5, i used it on the inner third of my lower lash line, buffing it into shade 4 slightly. Shade 6 is the brow bone and inner corner shade! It's a pretty simple look, I just wanted to use as many shades as I could without muddying things up.

Popfeel | Wish eyeshadow paletteThank you all so much for stopping by to check out this tutorial. I hope you liked it. I personally love how the orange on the lid makes some of the green in my eyes stand out more than normal. Overall I would reccomend this palette. It was $1.00 plus that much in shipping. The shadows ended up being buttery and pretty pigmented. Attacthed down below in the product listing I will have the link to this palette. I don't know if I will be able to find the exact seller, But i've seen a few stores selling it!
