Red and Gold Eyeshadow Tutorial

Red and Gold Eyeshadow Tutorial
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I know I have not been posting enough, That is due to personal issues with depression. I'm not going to let it hold me back anymore. I want this to become my career. I love doing it and I'd love if you could comment. My numbers are okay, I just don't get any comments or feedback. Even one word would be helpful at this point lol.

Today I was really inspired by the trees in my yard to create an eye look around. These colors are so beautiful in nature and I thought, hey why not try this color combo on my eyes. I am so in love with this look. I’m going to be sad when Fall is over and it won’t be in season! Here’s to hoping Winter has some beautiful and inspiring scenery!

Let’s get right into this look! Today’s eyeshadow look is really simple and easy to do. It uses only five shadows, from three different palettes. I know that's annoying, but initially I hadn't intended on blogging this look. I just loved it so much I had to! Keep in mind, you don’t have to use the exact eyeshadow palettes, just find some colors that are similar to help you achieve this look!

Red and Gold Eyeshadow Tutorial
To start out this look I primed my eyelids and set it with a cream color. I always do this, it creates a smooth surface to blend. To start building up the crease, I went in with a medium toned brown shade and brought it above to crease. I have hooded eyes, so I have to bring the shadow up higher to exaggerate my crease and make it look higher. If I didn't do this, all the color would be basically hidden. To start warming up the crease I used a cooler orangey red shade and built up the intensity a little at a time. It's so much easier to add color, than it is to take color away. To add depth I added a dark rusty red color in my outer third of my crease. Remember to use a little at a time to build up the depth. Now for the shiny glorious golden lid! I took the Gold 'highlight' in the Carli Bybel palette on a flat shader brush and wet it to intensify the shine. I pat the color on the inner two thirds of the lid, slowly blending it out a little at a time to soften edges. That's it, it was so simple and so beautiful I had to share it with you! Thank you all so much for stopping by and checking out this tutorial. I hope you love it as much as I do. Tell me what you want to see in the comments down below.

Halloween Zombie Makeup Tutorial (simple)

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today is my first Halloween makeup tutorial of 2017! Usually, all of the Halloween looks I do, I do on my kids. So that’s what I did today as well. We did a simple Zombie Makeup Tutorial and watched the new Beauty & The Beast! Although this look is simple it does involves a lot of blending. Don’t let that discourage you, it’s not that hard. I’m not the best at gore or special effects, but I would like to try some out! Without the intro getting too long, let’s get right into this tutorial!

Zombie Makeup TutorialThis look is a bit backwards for me. I did the face makeup first, which isn’t something I normally do. This is just a habit thing, I use to be real messy with blending. To start out this look I used the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Erasing Primer on her nose, cheeks and chin. I wanted to really wash her face out and make her super fair, so I used the Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation in shade 110 Porcelain. This is the lightest shade in the line and has nice coverage. I used just a sheer layer with a generic flat top foundation brush, blending a light layer across the skin. I set the foundation with the Wet N Wild Contouring and Highlight palette in the highlight shade. For the shadowing around the eyes, cheek bones, temples and chin, I used a Natural fiber blending brush (white bristles with a rough texture) and the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream shadow in 35 Tough as Taupe. All you need is a grayish brown shadow to create the look of sunken in features. I used a little product at a time and built up the shadows till I was happy. I wanted to add a little color back into the look so I used the Wet N Wild 5 color shadow palette in The Naked Truth. I tapped into the Eyelid and Defined shades and went over everywhere we used the cream shadow. On the lid I patted a little of the shimmery brow bone shade. Here’s where I started second guessing and annoying myself, lol. I felt like it wasn’t warm enough so I took a blush I made, a shimmery warm pink, and lightly blended some around the eyes and cheekbones by the hairline. For the veiny look, I took the Hard Candy Powder Keg in Sinful (warm shimmer purple) and a dark generic purple shadow on a wet eyeliner brush and made some squiggles where I thought they looked right. On her lips, I used the two darkest red shades in the BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Palette and blended them together with a flat lip brush. I also filled in brows lightly, added mascara and did a little highlight.

That’s it guys! It’s so simple. You don’t have to use all of the products I used, just improvise! Get creative and have fun. This is Halloween, it doesn’t have to be perfect! Perfect can be boring lol. Thank you so much for checking out this tutorial. We had fun doing it and I can’t wait to do more!

Vampy Makeup Tutorial

Vampy Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Now that it’s officially fall, I felt it was time to do a red vampy look! This look to me is a bit grungy and smoky, I’m really feeling it though! For this look I decided to bring out the Makeup Revolution eye shadow palette in #Slay. It’s such a perfect fall palette and so affordable! They have such smooth blendability! I don’t know why I don’t use this palette more,  its such a smooth quality shadow. I want to do some pretty and some spooky Halloween makeup tutorials, If you have requests, let me know below! All you have to do is sign into your Google account!

To start out this look I used my favorite eyeshadow primer and set it with the matte cream shade called Destroy. To build up warmth and depth, I went in the crease with Impress. I went in a little at a time and then added Killed It to deepen up the crease more. On the lid I packed on the shade Queen and blended it up to further haze everything out. I wanted a bit of sheen to the look, so I took some of Great and patted it on the center of the lid. For the brow bone and inner corner I used the shade #Slay. To finish off the eyes, I added a small wing and some mascara. I tried to tight line and line my water line, but my pencil has dried up kind of and wouldn’t work well.

Thank you so much for checking out this tutorial! It’s such a warm vampy look. The only thing I would have done different, is I would have made the outer edge sharp and not so soft looking. I also would have done a bigger wing, as I am not the best at eyeliner, I didn’t try to push it lol.

Fall Copper Makeup Tutorial

Fall Copper Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing a Fall Copper Makeup Tutorial! I love all things copper, and it’s definitely a color that makes blue eyes just stand out so beautifully. I know your wondering and thinking, “uh, Linda? Your eyes are brownish green…” that is accurate. My daughter however has blue eyes! She wanted to be on my blog, and just wanted me to do her makeup for fun. So we did both! I hope you enjoy!

To start out her makeup look I primed her eyelids and set it with shade 1, a matte cream nude, like I always do! Through the crease I went in with shade 2, a cream sickle orange shade. In the outer corner I used shade 3, a deep brick red. I kept it right in the outer V. Now on to the shimmer shades that made this look really glowy! This next step is pretty easy, but looks really nice! I took shade 4 (copper) on the outer corner, 5 on the middle of the lid (pinky gold), and 6 on the inner 3rd (soft gold). Tapped each color on then lightly blended the edges. On the brow bone I used shade 1 again to keep it a little softer.

For the rest of her makeup, I did it how I normally do mine. Since she's young, I lightly did a little eyeliner in the waterline, lightly filled her brows and combed them and only used a little mascara. Just a little bit to make the look complete, she looked so pretty. She doesn’t need makeup to be beautiful and I’ve taught her that, but we enjoy playing beauty salon. :D

Thank you so much for checking out this tutorial! I appreciate is and my daughter is so excited to be on a post! I hope you enjoy this tutorial! My daughter and I had fun hanging out and playing in makeup. It’s not something we do all the time, but it’s fun to do and just relax and have girl time. Just to answer a few questions, she’s 11, in middle school and no she isn’t aloud to wear makeup out of the house. This is just something we do on occasion for fun. She asked me to post it on my blog, so that’s what we did. She has the prettiest eyes. I’m obsessed with these colors on her!

Pumpkin Pie Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Pumpkin Pie Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! The day I’m writing this is the first day of autumn and I am so excited. I love this time of year with the leaves changing, Halloween, beautiful makeup, cozy clothes, and pumpkin spice everything! I can also start wearing my hair down because it won’t be hot and humid, being a long haired Italian girl has its setbacks. Today’s makeup look is definitely inspired by pumpkin pie, the kind with a nice golden crust. To add a little pop of something, I added an eyeshadow on the center of my lid that is a warm brown with a blue reflect! Today I decided to use the BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Palette because it has so many perfect fall shades! I ended up using six out of the nine shades. I wanted a really blended gradient and I hope I achieved that! Today’s look is kind of like a halo eye, I think. I made the center of the lid a lighter pop of color.

Starting off with my Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer I put it lightly all over this lid and set it with shade 1. A matte creamy nude shadow, to even everything out and to create a smooth surface for blending. To start a transition through the crease I took color 2 on a soft blending brush and took it all the way through my crease and slightly above. It's a matte orange cream sickle shade. I have hooded eyelids, so I have to bring the colors up almost to the brow bone, or the color will be lost! To deepen the crease I went in with shade 3 on a stiffer blending brush, for more control. I brought it from outer corner to inner corner. I really wanted to deepen this look more than I usually would of. Next I took a tiny bit of shade 4 on the stiffer blending brush in the outer corner to help keep my eyes from looking too close. It's a really dark brown, almost black color with a little shimmer. If you have too much of one shade across the lid, it can make your eyes look closer together than they are. To give the eye lids a pop of something, I used shade 5 on an angled eyeshadow brush with some setting spray. It’s is a deep reddish brown that has a blue duo chrome sort of reflect. It such a beautiful color! To finish off the eyeshadow I used shade 6, a soft shimmery champagne color, on the brow bone to soften the edges.

Thank you so much for checking out this Pumpkin Pie Inspired Makeup Tutorial. I have many more fall themed tutorials to come. Suggestions are always welcome. The next tutorial I have going up is a special one. My 11yr old daughter wanted me to do her makeup and to be featured on my blog. So that's just what we did!
