Fall Copper Makeup Tutorial

Fall Copper Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing a Fall Copper Makeup Tutorial! I love all things copper, and it’s definitely a color that makes blue eyes just stand out so beautifully. I know your wondering and thinking, “uh, Linda? Your eyes are brownish green…” that is accurate. My daughter however has blue eyes! She wanted to be on my blog, and just wanted me to do her makeup for fun. So we did both! I hope you enjoy!

To start out her makeup look I primed her eyelids and set it with shade 1, a matte cream nude, like I always do! Through the crease I went in with shade 2, a cream sickle orange shade. In the outer corner I used shade 3, a deep brick red. I kept it right in the outer V. Now on to the shimmer shades that made this look really glowy! This next step is pretty easy, but looks really nice! I took shade 4 (copper) on the outer corner, 5 on the middle of the lid (pinky gold), and 6 on the inner 3rd (soft gold). Tapped each color on then lightly blended the edges. On the brow bone I used shade 1 again to keep it a little softer.

For the rest of her makeup, I did it how I normally do mine. Since she's young, I lightly did a little eyeliner in the waterline, lightly filled her brows and combed them and only used a little mascara. Just a little bit to make the look complete, she looked so pretty. She doesn’t need makeup to be beautiful and I’ve taught her that, but we enjoy playing beauty salon. :D

Thank you so much for checking out this tutorial! I appreciate is and my daughter is so excited to be on a post! I hope you enjoy this tutorial! My daughter and I had fun hanging out and playing in makeup. It’s not something we do all the time, but it’s fun to do and just relax and have girl time. Just to answer a few questions, she’s 11, in middle school and no she isn’t aloud to wear makeup out of the house. This is just something we do on occasion for fun. She asked me to post it on my blog, so that’s what we did. She has the prettiest eyes. I’m obsessed with these colors on her!

Pumpkin Pie Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Pumpkin Pie Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! The day I’m writing this is the first day of autumn and I am so excited. I love this time of year with the leaves changing, Halloween, beautiful makeup, cozy clothes, and pumpkin spice everything! I can also start wearing my hair down because it won’t be hot and humid, being a long haired Italian girl has its setbacks. Today’s makeup look is definitely inspired by pumpkin pie, the kind with a nice golden crust. To add a little pop of something, I added an eyeshadow on the center of my lid that is a warm brown with a blue reflect! Today I decided to use the BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Palette because it has so many perfect fall shades! I ended up using six out of the nine shades. I wanted a really blended gradient and I hope I achieved that! Today’s look is kind of like a halo eye, I think. I made the center of the lid a lighter pop of color.

Starting off with my Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer I put it lightly all over this lid and set it with shade 1. A matte creamy nude shadow, to even everything out and to create a smooth surface for blending. To start a transition through the crease I took color 2 on a soft blending brush and took it all the way through my crease and slightly above. It's a matte orange cream sickle shade. I have hooded eyelids, so I have to bring the colors up almost to the brow bone, or the color will be lost! To deepen the crease I went in with shade 3 on a stiffer blending brush, for more control. I brought it from outer corner to inner corner. I really wanted to deepen this look more than I usually would of. Next I took a tiny bit of shade 4 on the stiffer blending brush in the outer corner to help keep my eyes from looking too close. It's a really dark brown, almost black color with a little shimmer. If you have too much of one shade across the lid, it can make your eyes look closer together than they are. To give the eye lids a pop of something, I used shade 5 on an angled eyeshadow brush with some setting spray. It’s is a deep reddish brown that has a blue duo chrome sort of reflect. It such a beautiful color! To finish off the eyeshadow I used shade 6, a soft shimmery champagne color, on the brow bone to soften the edges.

Thank you so much for checking out this Pumpkin Pie Inspired Makeup Tutorial. I have many more fall themed tutorials to come. Suggestions are always welcome. The next tutorial I have going up is a special one. My 11yr old daughter wanted me to do her makeup and to be featured on my blog. So that's just what we did!

Smokey Eye Tutorial

Smokey Eye Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! My last post I did a flawless “No Makeup, Makeup Tutorial” and I love that look, but this look is a little more my speed. It’s dark, smoky, and shimmery! Today I used the Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette in Romantic Smoked. There are six shimmer shades ranging from dark to light, and six matte shades ranging from light to dark lol. For these palettes being only $7, they’re great! Makeup Revolution tends to nail whatever they do!
To start out this look I used the same primer as always. It’s the only one I have, but it works really well! I’m going to try and lay out this post a little different than normal. Let me known if you like it!

Step 1: Prime your eye lids with the Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer and set it with the matte cream shade in the palette.

Step 2: Pick up a little of the dark gray and start working it through the crease and outer corner. Then go back in and start building up the color. Also bring it under the lash line 2/3 of the way.

Step 3: Once your eyes are smoky and soft, lightly add in the black shade tighter in the crease and corner. And outer third of the lower lash line.

Step 4: Here’s my favorite part! The lavender-ish silvery shimmer! I wet my brush with my Elf setting spray and packed on this shade all over the lid, bringing up any extra and getting rid of harsh lines. I also took this on the inner third of my bottom lash line.

Step 5: The edges looked kind of harsh so I took the cream matte shade on the brow bone to fade out the edges. For my actual brow bone shade, I took the frosty white shade and put a little just under my brow.

Step 6: For my waterline I used a sparkly black pencil and a lengthening Mascara in Black. I need a new eyeliner! Please recommend some that work well on wet eyes!

Thanks so much for checking out this post! I hope you’ve enjoyed it! The is the eye look finished! Down below I’ll list all of the products I used, as well as my social media links! Please do me a huge favor and comment or share this post! It helps me get my name out there and shows how you like the posts!

No Makeup, Makeup Tutorial

No Makeup, Makeup Tutorial

No Makeup, Makeup Tutorial Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I want to show you my No Makeup, Makeup Tutorial! This look is super simple, clean and a favorite! I love a flawless base and a blinding highlight, so this isn’t so natural looking. It’s very subtle and natural looking otherwise. Today I used the original Carli Bybel palette because it has all the shades of shadow and highlight needed. I could honestly do so many looks with just this palette! If you see any shades you want me to do a look around, let me know!

Today I'm going to start out this look a bit different, I actually used my waterproof Ulta concealer to prime my eyelids with. No particular reason, just kind of did it. It was surprisingly smooth to set as well, it also hid all of my redness and veins, so that’s awesome. I’ve had my makeup on about four and a half hours, and nothing is creasing. That’s what I like to see! For this look, I used numbers to list all of the shades, since they aren’t names individually. Shades 1 – 4 are the eye shades and number 5 is my highlight & brow bone shade!

No Makeup, Makeup Tutorial

I set my concealer with shade 1, a matte cream shade. I then brought shade 2, a light to medium brown, through and above my crease. I have hooded eyes, so if I don’t bring it above then you can’t see it’s there. I went back in and picked up a little of shade 2 a few times to build the color up and haze out the edges. I also brought it under my lash line. I went in the outer corner and outer bottom lash line with shade 3, a cooler toned darker medium brown. For the lid I patted on shade 4, a soft pink shimmer that added a nice glow and softened any harsh edges. On the brow, I used shade 5. Which is the same shade I use to highlight with. It is a champaign glowy color I’m in love with! If you want to see how I do my foundation you can click to see the Blog Post or to see the Youtube Video.

Colorful Makeup Tutorial

Colorful Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! How are you doing? I hope you’re well! Today I’m pretty excited about my makeup, I can honestly say that it’s one if my favorites and I hope you love it as much as I do. This look makes me feel super confident and happy. I’m not used to using bright colors, this was out of my comfort zone for sure. I don’t need makeup to feel that way obviously. When makeup makes you feel even better about yourself, it's a plus! By the way, I did film this look. Let’s go on it!

So I did a vote on my Facebook page and mostly everyone votes for me to do a Colorful Makeup Tutorial. So this is my attempt at something fun and colorful before fall hits! I do love a good smoky look! All products will be down below as usual. Today were starting things out as we always do, with priming and setting my lids a nude matte shadow.

Click Here To See The Tutorial!

Today I’m using a wet n wild 5 shadow palette called Floral Values. All the shadows are pink and purple, pigmented and silky in texture. To set the lid I used the “base” shade, which is a pale nudey pink. Through the crease I took the bright pink “eyelid” shade, it's such a soft shadow! To deepen the outer corner I used the soft lavender “definer” shade. On the lid I went in wet with the pale pinky lavender “Browbone” shade. This color had to go on wet because it didn’t want to show up as shiny as it is over the already set eyelid. To soften edges and blend everything out I went back in with the crease shades, this also helped make everything a bit brighter. To finish the eye look, I used a real eyeliner pencil in my waterline and smudged it down on the bottom lash line. This looked a bit weird to me so I used the last dark blueish purple “crease” shade on the outer corner of my eyes to deepen and blend things out. After that I added black eyeliner in the waterline but it didn’t show very well. I think I need a new black pencil liner!

That’s it for the eye look. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, it’s a fun bright look and I can’t wait for all the fall looks I’m going to do soon. Please remember to share this post online with your friends and check out the YouTube video for this look! And subscribe to my channel for more tutorials to come!

Flawless Foundation Routine (Updated)

Flawless Foundation Routine

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! It has been roughly 7 months since I first posted my drugstore foundation routine. I'm not sure how its been quite that long, but I've updated a few items since. I've gotten my new foundation routine down to a science and I can to it pretty quick. Also, what I've changed up makes my skin look flawless, so theirs that. I have very dark circles under my eyes and I've spent the last 12 years trying to hide them. Now I've got it all figured out!

Step 1: Wash your face. Seriously, even if you think your skin is clean. It's not, all of the dust, dirt and debris in the air sits on your skin. Also it helps remove any dead skin or dry patches that makeup clings to.
Clean and Clear (step 1) Foaming Facial Cleanser.
Step 2: Moisturize your face and neck. Just because you have oily skin, doesn't mean you can skip using a moisturizer. I have oily patches on my nose, chin and forehead. It does not make my skin more oily, but it helps balance everything out. I have dry bumpy outer cheeks and jaw line. I also have them on my arms, it's called keratosis pilaris. It's caused by a buildup of the protein keratin, which can plug a hair follicle, resulting in a bump.
Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion

Step 3: Prime your face. A primer helps keep your makeup in place much longer than it would without any. Find the right primer for your skin, they’re hundreds. I usually only apply it around my nose, cheeks by my nose and my chin. Since it is for pores, it works best to press it into the skin.
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Erasing Primer
Step 4: Now is the time you can take to do your eyes while you wait on the primer to soak in, or just get straight to your foundation. I have to use two shades to match me, but they’re also two different brands for a good reason. The Maybelline one keeps me more matte than I would be normally with medium coverage. The Revlon one adds more coverage and helps with the longevity of my foundation through the day.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless (Porcelain)
Revlon's ColorStay Makeup for Combo/Oily Skin (Nude)

Step 5: This part is one of my favorites. Concealer! I have very dark, reddish purple under eye circles. They are genetic and nothing has made them go away over the years. A good concealer makes all the difference in the world. I bought the Ulta brand one on a whim and i actually really love it. It claims to be waterproof, and it does stay on better than any other concealer I've tried.
Ulta Beauty Full Coverage Liquid Concealer (Light Cool)
Step 6: To set my makeup I’m loving using loose powder to keep everything in place all day and minimize creasing. Back when I use to use a pressed powder it seemed to make my face look cakey and heavy. I have tried baking and it seems to feel very heavy, I’ve tried a translucent powder and it looked strange.
Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder, Naturally Neutral

Step 7: Lets add some life back info my face! This is where I get into Blush, Bronzer, sometimes I try to Contour, and a blinding Highlight. After all the loose powder is dusted away, I bronze up in the standard 3 shape and under the chin. I try to go light with blush, I flush naturally even through makeup lol. I don’t know how to contour very well, it’s more of the fact I need a contour kit lol.
New York Color Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder, Sunny
A blush I made from broken blushes and a Highlight (do you want a tutorial?)
Wet n Wild Contouring and Highlight palette, Dulce De Leche
BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel original palette (No longer available)
Step 8: Finally to set everything and keep it in place all day! I've only ever used one setting spray because I can’t afford to more expensive ones. But all I do is spritz my face evenly and let it dry and I’m good to go all day!
