Purple Smokey Eye Tutorial

Makeup Tutorial
Hey guys! I’m back this week with a makeup tutorial! I want to do more glamorous looks, because let’s face it, they're fun! This week I want to work with purples! Purple is one of my favorite colors in general and to wear on my eyes, it makes the little bit of green I have in my eyes stand out more. I’ve always wanted green eyes, the purple helps them look a little more green! Today I’m going to be using the Ulta “Be Discovered 67 piece Collection”. I bought it about two years ago online, and they no longer sell it. There are a lot if similar colors you can buy online or in store. I never get to use this thing, so I decided to bust it out this week! I’m also going to be trying out two new products my boyfriend randomly bought me at our local Dollar General. There’s a brow pencil in Black / Brown (we'll see how the color is) and a Lengthening Mascara in black. Both of them are by the brand Broadway Color, which is manufactured by Kiss Products. I believe these are dollar items but I’m not sure.

Ulta Be Discovered 67 piece Collection

Makeup TutorialI started by prepping my eyelids with the Hard Candy Eyeshadow primer, and setting it with the shade Au Natural. It’s a creamy nude matter, it makes blending so much easier. Through the crease I tapped into Gentle and Camel to add some depth and shadow. In the outer corner I blended some Havana Nights in through the outer crease, then I blended some Galaxy in crease as well. On the lid I packed on some of the color Impulsive Purple. It ended up being really dark and harsh, so I took some Orchid and Blood and lightly blended them over top of everything to soften it up. On the bottom lash line, I used Havana Nights about two thirds in and in the inner corner I faded in some of Bloom.

Covergirl, Elf, Ulta, Wet N Wild, Avon, Pueen,
For the rest of my makeup, I used the Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 – in – 1 foundation with spf 20 in the shade 820. I applied it with a duo fiber foundation brush by Pueen. I concealed my under eye area with the Ulta Full Coverage Waterproof Concealer in Light. To set everything I used my trusty Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in Neutral Natural. For bronzing and brightening I used the Wet N Wild Coloricon Contouring Palette. I lightened up under my eyes, center of my forehead, down my nose and the middle of my chin. I warmed up around my face and lightly contoured my cheek bones. I don’t know how to contour very well, so I just warm my face up some. I highlight using one I made myself and repressed into an old powder foundation compact. I used Avon's blush in Classic Aura, Which is now discontinued.

Broadway Color, Broadway Beauty, Rimmel Scandleyes

To finish off my look I use the Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eye liner in Sparkling Black to tight line and in my water line. For brows I tried out the Broadway Beauty Eyebrow pencil in Black / Brown. It turned out it’s a really nice color for me. I always have a problem with my brows coming off too warm. The pencil itself is a hard was with not a ton of pigment, which worked in my favor to be honest. For mascara I also tried out something new! Broadway Colors Lengthening Mascara in Black. It turns out this formula has little fibers in it and is soft on the lashes, it didn’t go crunchy or flake. The wand has spread out bristles that really helps separate. I really like it a lot! For my lips I put on my J Cat Beauty Lipfinity Matte Lip in Champagne Pop! It’s my favorite matte lip color. To finish I sprayed my face with the Elf setting spray.

That is it! Pretty cute look, but a bit dramatic for a day time look. Thank you so much for checking out this tutorial. Hit me up in the comments and let me know if there’s anything you want me do a tutorial on or a review of!

Half God Half Devil Concert Pictures.

Half God Half Devil Tour
Last weekend I went to my first real concert with my boyfriend in Columbus. I call it my first "real" concert because after I turned 18, I went to a dirty little bar in Portland Oregon and saw Bring Me The Horizon & It Dies Today. I grew up across the bridge in Washington. From 2004 to 2007, was a huge emo phase in my life, lol. But this past weekend was so good for us to have a night away from life, kids, and reality to have a date night and see some bands we love! We went to the Half God Half Devil tour. There were three opening acts and the headlining band. In order was Gemini Syndrome, Avatar, Motionless In White, then of course In This Moment! So yes, this was in fact a metal show. A lot of people don’t think I look like someone who listens to metal, but I have since I was like 15. Back in '04 that's all I would listen to, haha.

Columbus OhioSo after our drive down to Columbus, We went to the hotel and holy cow, it was Beautiful! We stayed at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel. We were so out of our element! We are not city people at all, This trip confirmed that. Unlike my sims in the Sims 4, Who love the city. Lol. It was still nice to go do something we wouldn't normally do. I do have to say, Columbus is a beautiful city! It was crazy seeing all of the huge buildings and the culture. The tour is going to be in Cincinnati on May 3rd and I want to go. It's on a Wednesday so we aren't able to go. Not to mention, it's not exactly cheap to buy the tickets, drive down there and buy food while were there. That's not including if we were to stay somewhere. I really want to go because it's two days before my 28th birthday. But damn, this show was sold out, packed and hot as hell. That was my only issue with the Venue, they have like a 2200 capacity, when it should only be like 2000. The place was so packed and hot. It was like 80 degrees that day, I got a sunburn waiting to go in. We were in line from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. We go in, use the bathrooms and get drinks. Now the wait...

Gemini Syndrome
Gemini Syndrome went on first, They killed it! The lead singer, Aaron Vincent Nordstrom, was casually walking up and down the street before the show. Just having a chill walk around minding his business. I don't think a lot of people realized it was him. I want to get a picture with him, but he was having some chill time. Gotta respect their free time. They don't get much of it on tour. I was not able to get many pictures of them performing! I was too into watching them, and filming some Snapchats!

Avatar
Avatar was up second. Holy shit do they put on a fucking show! These guys are insane! The energy and stage presence is beyond amazing. Before the concert, I had only heard a few of their songs. I liked their music a lot, But after the show they put on, boy I love them. They put on a hell of a show. They basically stole the show, however possible that is. Also, three of their band members also went off on a walk, about half hour later two security guards hopped on skate boards with walkie - talkies looking for them. It was so funny, they were so annoyed! We ended up missing their last two songs because it was so hot and packed, I got really bad anxiety and had to go outside for a little bit! I hate that we had to go outside, I just couldn't breathe. Yes, I do take anxiety medication. If I didn't, I wouldn't of been able to even go.

Motionless In WhiteThird up, Motionless In White. We missed their first two songs trying to get back into the building, sadly! So I did not get very many good pictures. It turns out, I love them so much more now. They definitely put on an awesome show. I wasn't too sure if I was going to enjoy them live, But they were bomb as fuck. I know some of their music is pretty hard, which I love, But sometimes harder songs aren't as good live. The pulled it off like champs. Not to mention, they came on before In This Moment, They did a snazzy little cover song to get everyone hyped for ITM to come on! They did Chop Suey by System of a Down. It was amazing! I got two short clips of it. I'm obsessed! They have a girl whose in a skeleton outfit who sprays everyone with water out of a water gun, then she threw bubble gum out of a trick or treat pumpkin! So cute!

In This Moment
The headlining band, whose lead singer, Maria Brink is my absolute QUEEN, In This Moment. For this performance, my boyfriend decided he want to go down into the pit. Being the good girlfriend I am, I went with him. After they set up and came on, the whole place was hyped and just went nuts. They opened with Black Widow, which is one of my favorites. When the chorus dropped, some loon of a woman started shoving everyone and rammed me in the ribs multiple times the elbowed me in the eye! So I left and went back up by the steps so I wouldn't get trampled. I'm hardly 5'2", so as you cam see, I had a hard time seeing as it was, I didn't feel like getting shoved around anymore. Not to mention the floor was wet and I slipped and almost fell. There was water and spilled drinks all over the floor. But I have got to say, I am so unbelievably happy that I went! It was a once in a life time sort of thing for us and it was amazing. So one sick thing that happened while waiting to get in, I took a picture of the venue's board and tagged Maria Brink on twitter, telling her I was there to see her. The next day, I woke up from a nap and she liked and shared my tweet. How is this my life. I got to see her in person, NEXT: I have to meet her!I was so excited! The post now had over 10k impressions on it. I'm just excited that she saw and acknowledged my post! Like I said, She is my queen, so it was so exciting for me lol.

My favorite hairstyles for my Curly Hair.

My go-to hairstyles.

Hey guys, I’m back with another hair post! I feel like I have some knowledge I can share about having curly hair from these last almost 28 years on earth! I’ve been learning to tackle it and still have it look cute for some time now. Whenever it comes to styling my hair, I absolutely dread doing it. My hair is wavy, dry and frizzy. Over the years I’ve heard tips and tricks from many people and some things have worked, and some haven't. I have a separate blog post Here, all about how I control and tame my frizzy Italian hair. All of these pictures included, are from over the last two years. As you can see, I've been brunette, blond, I've had purple hair and an ombre. I've loved every color, it's always fun to have colourful hair. The damage is another topic, lol. I made sure to include pictures that really show my natural texture.

My casual days:

Casual hairstyles
A couple of the ways I do my hair for those days when I don’t need to look too presentable, is a pony tail, a messy bun, a tight twisted up bun or a side braid. I tend to do these a lot. If I’m spending the day at home I love a good bun so my hair is out of the way. A good side braid is my favorite go to when I have to go out and about. The only down side is I have some layers, so pieces will come out and make me itch, lol. You should know this huge thing I’ve learned, If you wear your hair up all the time, especially if it’s up tight, it will cause breakage on your hair line. I’m currently work on not putting my hair up tight. I have cause my hair a lot of breakage from having it up too tight, and of course coloring it. In the pictures I’ve added, you won’t see me in a bun. I turn into a literal egg head, it’s not cute hahaha.

When I need my hair to look nice:

Cute hairstyles
Sometimes I will straighten my hair if I know it’s going to be cool and I won’t be sweating. If I sweat, it’s all over for my Italian textured hair. I also may straighten some pieces along with my natural wavy texture, that gives my hair a nicer look without actually having to do much. Adding a few loose curls helps with the overall frizz, but I’m still able to embrace my natural hair. There are times I’ll do a nice sleek pony tail with the ends straightened or curled. That’s always nice if it’s hot! I don’t often get chances to dress up, so I take advantage of it and make an effort to look really nice! One style I think is really cute is when I put my hair half up and curl the ends. It has that Ariana Grande vibe that a girl just needs sometimes.

I need some ideas for hair styles that will work with my hair type. I’m always open for suggestions and tips. If you have any, feel free to comment down below! I hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any ideas of future posts you would like to see, let me know down!

In This Moment Concert Looks

In This Moment, Motionless In White, Avatar and Gemini Syndrome

In This Moment
Guys! My boyfriend and I are going to be seeing one of our favorite bands! April fifteenth in Columbus Ohio! In This Moment! We are so fucking pumped for it. I normally try not to swear in my blog, but I’m too excited! If you guys don’t know who they are, they’re a bad ass metal band with a female singer. The beautiful Maria Brink! At the concert there’s supposed to be three other groups with them on tour. Motionless In White, Avatar and Gemini Syndrome! I like all of these bands, the only ones I don’t know as well are Avatar and Motionless In White. But I do enjoy what I’ve heard by them so far! Now, you guys know what this means! Testing and trying out hair and makeup looks for the show. They have got to be long lasting and sweat proof! Most of all, I have to look cute of course. I have a few ideas in mind and I wanted to talk about and get some input on!

Makeup Look one:

This is the most basic look I came up with. I’m thinking either a classic messy bun or a donut looking bun. What are those called? A ballerina bun maybe, lol. For the makeup look, I’m thinking a simple minimal makeup look with a winged liner. With some bottom lash line smoky-ness with a deep purple shadow! Of course a ton black eyeliner in the waterline. For the lips, J Cat’s kissproof liquid lipstick in Champagne Buzz. It’s a nude shade with a slight orange tint.

Makeup Look two:

For the second look I thought a sleek ponytail and more of a dramatic eye! This eye look would be a late night smoky glam vibe. I’m thinking of using my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone pallet. The bottom right shade is my favorite color in the palette, which you can tell by how used it is. It’s like a blue brown shade. I guess it’s a dupe for MAC's blue brown pigment. That shade all over the lid with some red through the crease and some glitter! Depending on how much glitter there ends up being, I probably won’t do a wing with this look. I will be adding black eyeliner to the waterline and some of of that blue brown shade on the lash line. For my lips, I’m thinking the same liquid lipstick in Champagne Buzz.

Makeup Look three:

Okay, this is probably going to be what I end up going with. I think it really fits my personality most. For the hair I want to do double twist back braids into a side braid. That’s generally my go to hair style when I have to have my hair out of my face. I know I’m going to be sweating a lot, I do anytime I’m out doing something. For my makeup I want to do a black and silver smoky eye look. Very Goth looking and pulling some Maria Brink vibes! This one is would pair with a red matte liquid lipstick. A lot of black in the water line, and some smudging under that.

If you guys are wondering about what I’m going to be wearing, I’m thinking of wearing my blue jeans and low top black and white classic Converse. I have no clue what shirt I’m going to wear! I think I’m going to buy a new shirt for the concert. I really don’t have anything I could wear to the concert, shirt wise anyways! Guys, I’m so excited! Let’s talk in the comments about our favorite music and bands! If you enjoyed, make sure you give it a share on social media. You can follow me on most platforms. My links are all listed on my social media page! Thanks so much!

Shills Natural Science; Deep Cleansing Black Mask

Shills Natural Science; Deep Cleansing Black Mask

Hi guys! You know those black peel off face masks that everyone’s doing? Well I bought a tube of it from the app Wish. It was $2.00 for the mask and $1.00 shipping. I think that’s a great price, considering you can never be sure if you’re going to receive exactly what you order with apps like this. It honestly depends on the store on Wish that you buy from. I made sure they had good reviews before I bought it! I placed my order March 10th and received it in ten days! The packaging was a standard small gray plastic bag, the tube was in a box and then in bubble wrap. The packaging was nothing crazy, lol.

Shills Natural Science; Deep Cleansing Black Mask
Shills Natural Science;
Deep Cleansing Black Mask.

Here’s a list of the claims on the packaging then I’ll discuss whether I felt which ones were true.

  • Smooth’s the skin texture.
  • Increases vitality.
  • Deep Cleansing.
  • Removes dulling surface cells and impurities.
  • Vitamin and plant extracts soften the skin to restore a youthful glow.

Shills Natural Science; Deep Cleansing Black Mask
My first impressions!

The mask were that it smelled nice and that it’s super thick! It definitely has a natural scent and it wasn’t overwhelming or sickeningly strong. I’ve got to agree that it does help soften and smooth out your skin. I haven’t had any breakout's or reactions to it, thankfully. I have acne prone, mildly sensitive skin. I figured I should mention that, so if you have a similar skin type, that might be helpful to you. Before I apply it, I make sure I scrub my face and leave a hot wash cloth on to open my pores! That’s for sure helpful when it comes to actually cleaning your pores out.

Upon applying it, I noticed it was super sticky and thick Since the packaging doesn’t specify how much put on, I put on a medium thickness layer. If it’s too thin, it’ll separate in patches, which make it not work as well. Once it’s dry it definitely gets tight and pulls if you move your face as to be expected. If you have baby hair, it can be kind if painful. I personally am use to waxing so it doesn’t bother me. As far as pulling out black heads and gunk out of your pores, it definitely works!

Shills Natural Science; Deep Cleansing Black Mask
My boyfriend Anthony was nice enough to let me put some on his nose, I have the result pictures here. As you can see, this stuff works! He had showered and had been sitting about half an hour before I put it on him and it still worked so good! He is not the kind of man who takes care of his skin. He uses basic soap and water in the shower, doesn’t scrub his face or anything like that. We left on the mask for the recommended 20 minutes. So as you can see, the Shills Natural Science; Deep Cleansing Black Mask is amazing. I only paid three dollars for it on Wish. I have done, between myself and my daughter's, at least six full masks and I have enough product to do it two or three more times. I will be ordering more soon!

Thank you so much for taking time to check out this review. Feel free to share it on social media, that definitely helps me out!

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone

Hey guys! I’ve decided to try something new this week! I want to teach myself how to do a halo eye. I’ve attempted it once and it did not go well. So I’ve decided to try it again until I get it right. This time using one of my all-time favorite drugstore eye shadow palettes Wet n Wild’s Comfort Zone. This palette has eight shades, all of them are silky textured and very pigmented! That’s one thing I love about their eye shadows, they’re so good! Their price is almost unbeatable with that kind of quality! Not to mention, every shade in this palette is a dupe for a high-end shadow!

Wet n Wild Comfort ZoneStarting with my eyes as normal, because I always have to clean up a mess. I’m too sloppy and have too much fun playing in eye shadow that it ends up everywhere. I’m capable of doing it without making a mess, but what’s the fun in that? So I’m going to start of with my Hard Candy eye shadow primer all over my lids and pack on the left eyelid color in the center of my eye. This shade is a pinky copper satin shade that blends beautifully! On the inner and outer corners and through the crease I’m going to put the right definer shade, it’s a red brown with a blue reflect. That’s one of my favorite colors in the palette! For the browser bone I’m using Brulee, which is a single Wet N Wild shadow that’s a creamy nude. I’m pretty much going back and forth blending until the crease is really hazy and blended to the heavens! Lol. After that I go back in and touch up the halo until I thought it looked right. But then I realized it didn’t look quite how I wanted it! So I decided to add a little of the primer to the very center area and pack on some of the right brown bone color, which is a silvery satin shade with the slightest pink undertone. Then I slightly blended it out some until it looked as good as I could get it.

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone
So next I would continue on with my face makeup which I go over and explain in my Drugstore Foundation Routine . On my bottom lash line I would have gone in with the right definer shade, the red brown shade and I'd bring it all the way under and into the inner corner. For my lip color, I’m using J Cat’s kiss proof liquid lipstick in Champagne Buzz a lot lately! It’s such a thin, pigmented, smooth texture. I love it and it smells like cinnamon, kind of, but it also almost smells like a cinnamon vodka. Which I not mad at!

Today I wasn't able to finish my face makeup due to general life things that happen. I hope you guys enjoyed the finished look! I know it isn’t the best, but I’m really loving this look. It almost has a vampy look I’m really digging! If you guys have any tips on how I could change what I’m doing to improve the look, hit up the comment section and let me know. Thank you so much for taking time to read this post, if you enjoyed it feel free to share it with your friends. I’m always open to advice and constructive criticism!
